<image:caption>This is a collection of samples I recorded during a trip in Bosnia and Herzegovina in summer 2026. The samples were processed and edited as little as possible - only low and hi pass filters, as well as some EQ when it was abolutely necessary. You are free to use them as you wish, even for commercial use, but please credit me (as Bruno Karnel or Balthazar Klimt) as the sound recordist. And don't hesitate to send me a message if you use any sound from this collection: I will be happy to listen to your work!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Duomo di Messina' is an ambient, experimental track based on field recordings made in Messina, Sicily. The atmospheres recorded were resampled and proceeded with various effects, in order to create a very abstract track. Some instruments were then added in the final process. Written, arranged, performed by Balthazar Klimt. Mixed by BK at Mezzanine Studio, France. Mastered by Mykyta Isaiev (Fabric Decay). Artwork by Sonnlamb. <image:caption>The bases of this track come from a field recording session in Meaux, France. I found this lovely place, near a bridge, where you could hear both nature sounds (birds, water, trees...) and, from afar, urban sounds - softened by the distance and the falling of the evening. The recording was then reworked in studio, with pads, vintage synths and a lot of effects - and beautifuly mastered by Alexander, who already worked on the alternative version of "Road to Lapland Part II" (on the 'Lapland EP').</image:caption>

      <image:title>Other projects</image:title>
<image:caption>The music on this EP comes from field recordings made in Stockholm, Sweden ('Airy Ferry'), Budapest, Hungary ('Kálvin Tér'), Bergen, Norway ('Oslokfjellet'), Magny-le-Hongre, France ('Zeugma'), Meaux, France and Jurgaičiai, Lithuania ('The Abysmo'). Trams, ferries, wood, rocks and ambiances samples were turned into percussion, pads, synths - and then embelished with vintage synths and drum machines, mostly from the Soviet period, chosen for their metal or plastic quality. The result is urban yet ambient - at times peaceful, at times frightening - but always organic. Written, performed and arranged by Balthazar Klimt. Mixed and mastered by Artem Pahomov. Citole on 'Oslokfjellet' by Max Kerner from Kings & Beggars. Cover artwork by BK.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Abstrakt Lake is the electro-organic project of multi-instrumentalist Balthazar Klimt. A curious musician and jack of all trades, Balthazar has, for around ten years, worked on projects marked in turn by rock, electronics, progressive rock and world music. His growing interest in field recording was the origin of Abstrakt Lake. The bases come from sounds recorded in various places (in Croatia, Germany, Finnish Lapland, but also in the French countryside). Written, arranged and performed by Balthazar Klimt. Mixed and mastered by Vadik Squarez. Cello on "Ežeras" by Artem Litovchenko.</image:caption>

As our compositions are mostly about the night, we chose to call the EP that way.
